BED AND BREAKFAST ACCOMMODATION IN HATHERSAGE |
Hathersage hotels & bed & breakfastHathersage is a charming village for a Bed and Breakfast stay. Supposedly the birthplace of Little John, one of Robin Hood's merry men, this village sits below Stanage Edge, an impressive gritstone edge some 3.5 miles long, and has some interesting buildings including 15th century Hathersage hall. Charlotte Bronte, stayed at the vicarage in 1845 and based the village of Morton in her novel 'Jane Eyre' on Hathersage. There is plenty of choice for a Bed and Breakfast stay in and around the village. Above the village is the vantage point Surprise View, which offers magnificent views. Hathersage is a popular base for rock climbing and walking. The village offers several shops, including cycle hire and rather surprisingly an outdoor swimming pool, only open in the summer months though.
