BED & BREAKFAST ACCOMMODATION IN BUXTON

Buxton hotels & bed & breakfast

B & B's in Buxton. The town of Buxton, offers a fine choice of bed and breakfast accommodation including large Victorian hotels. The town itself nestles amongst wooded hills in the western part of the Peak District and grew up in Roman times. Home of the well renowned Buxton spring water, Buxton claims to be the highest market town in England and offers visitors a wide choice of things to see and do.

Some must see things in and around Buxton are the recently restored Crescent, the thermal baths which now house a small shopping arcade with an excellent cafe located on the upper floor but retains some interesting features including a beautiful stained glass roof, the Pavilion and gardens and the Opera House.

For the more adventurous try Poole's Cavern and the adjacent Buxton Country Park. Venturing further afield in the town of Whaley Bridge is the basin of the Peak Forest Canal. Take a look at the imposing staircase locks at Marple Bridge. For garden enthusiasts a visit to the Dunge Valley Gardens at Kettleshulme is a must.

All in all, Buxton is one of the most pleasant places from which to enjoy your b&b break and accommodation prices can be very low indeed.
