For the more adventurous try Poole's Cavern and the adjacent Buxton Country Park. Venturing further afield in the town of Whaley Bridge is the basin of the Peak Forest Canal. Take a look at the imposing staircase locks at Marple Bridge. For garden enthusiasts a visit to the Dunge Valley Gardens at Kettleshulme is a must. All in all, Buxton is one of the most pleasant places from which to enjoy your b&b break and accommodation prices can be very low indeed.
